FAQ
Requesting a Contents Appraisal
What if we have almost nothing left?
Start with whatever you have, even a single phone photo or an old social media post. We build the inventory around the evidence that exists and are upfront in the report about what each value is based on. Something is almost always better than nothing when documenting a loss.
Can an attorney submit for multiple clients?
Yes. Firms working multiple households on the same matter can submit requests together, and we scope and price each client's appraisal individually once we see what's involved.
Is what we send kept confidential?
Yes. Photos, records, and case details you send are used only to prepare your appraisal report and are not shared beyond that engagement.
How is the fee set?
Our fees are flat and based on the scope of the work: the number of items, the quality and completeness of the evidence, and the intended use of the report. We quote a fee after reviewing what you send, before any work begins. There is no hourly appraisal fee and no charge tied to the value we conclude.
How fast can you start?
We review your request, then confirm a start date, the timing of the finished report and any deadline you're working against before work begins. Larger inventories take longer, so tell us your deadline up front.
